Homestays Morocco provide the perfect vacation for independent travellers and small groups who want the true cultural experience of Morocco at a reasonable price.

Staying with Berber families in the beautiful Tighza Valley, high in the Atlas Mountains, find your home away from home where you can truly enjoy the culture, lifestyle and flavours of this amazing land and its people.

From Friday 21 to Monday 24 November a severe storm swept across Southern Morocco, yet it barely touched international news headlines. Mohamed's father is nearly 100 and has never seen weather on this scale. Houses, some of which have stood for well over 100 years were battered by high winds and driving rain over a 3 day period and have been reduced to rubble and piles of mud. Tighza  desperately needs your help to recover from the storm. With no tourism, no agriculture, no animals and no work they cannot get back on their feet without help. This could turn into a desperate crisis.   Our charity partner Baraka Community Partnerships has set up a donate page so we can get Tighza back on the road to recovery as quickly as possible.  In the season of good will please give generously and give the people of Tighza the gift of a new life.

Donate to the Tijhza Emergency Relief Fund
We are also looking for volunteer groups who can come out to aid villagers rebuild their homes over the foreseeable future.

The trip to Tighza was wonderful, the staff and students all really enjoyed it. The welcome and hospitality from Mohamed and the staff was incredible. The whole visit was wonderful so hard to pick out something specific to say was the 'best' - apart from the overall level of hospitality provided to us. The food was wonderful (expecially the Moroccan meals at lunchtime and in the evenings). We will definitely be staying again - expect to see us twice next year with student groups! We would certainly recommend as a destination.
Best and thanks,

I had a lovely time, thank you. It is indeed a very special place.  I stayed four nights, went to Telouet for the souk and bought rugs; walked to the lake and back yesterday and rode the mule a lot of the way back to enjoy the scenery along the way, rather than concentrate on my footfall.
