The setting in Tizgha was wonderful and we all enjoyed the area, whether village life, exploring the terraced fields, or walks outside the village. It gave my wife and the girls an insight into Berber rural life and some fond memories for me; I realised that I had passed through Tizgha in autumn 1990 , this was in Spring, Summer, and Autumn and so I can see that your property, and the area, will really show their ‘true colours’ then.

The terrace outside the front door was a great resource for us and to site the building as you have done clearly makes sense.  There was a good choice for breakfast, both for us and the children. Ahmed, though busy with a group found time to take us for two hours around the villages himself, arranged a guide for the other walk (to the waterfall), and arranged the transfer to Marrakesh too. By the way, this driver was very careful and his vehicle was fine, even if old.

So ‘thank you’ from all of us and best wishes for a good season in 2014.

It is difficult to chose one aspect of my experience in Tighza that I liked the best. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn and share cultures as one can through Homestays; to me, this sort of experience is the reason for travel. I could not have been more welcomed by the El Qasemy family and other members of the village and surrounding villages. Generosity and openness, willingness to share is standard. More anecdotally/some specific moments I will remember: helping with the almond harvest, being a part of a wedding ceremony, cooking with Fadma, exploring the valley, etc.

It is hard to adequately describe the Tighza experience on a website, but your web site does a good job providing the appropriate information before arrival.
