We had a great time. Many thanks to the family.

We had a wonderful time in Tighza last week. Although we didn't have enough time for trekking, we spent the whole morning exploring the village and the fields around. It was really nice. And all the food that Fatma prepared was fabulous! I have just written a reference in Tripadvisor with information that I think will be valuable for people who travel like us.
Thank you once again for everything. If we ever visit again this part of the country, we will make sure to stop by at Tighza. Inshallah!

The most memorable part of the holiday was eating dinner with my hosts, dancing and playing music. The holiday definitely benefited the local people. Most interesting holiday culturally and the most fun meeting locals. I am reborn. Simply the best holiday I have ever been on.

Well Heidi and I had a great time in Tizhga. We left this morning after 4 days spent with Amhed, Fatma and Mohamed.
Thank you very much for the contact and all the information you provided. It is a special village and although we taught one session of French to a bunch of happy children and helped pour concrete on the roof of the Pre school, we probably learned more from our time there than we contributed to the village.
We were very comfortable at the el qasemy house and although we could not communicate much with Fatma, her presence and smile made good company.

Thank you so much for a fantastic stay, we really enjoyed it and the people from our homestay took such good care of us. It was the highlight of our holiday in Morocco!

We, my wife Thea and I, Arjen, have enjoyed one of the most beautifull weeks in our life while walking in the High Atlas, with our guide Ahmed and his two ‘mule drivers’ Ibrahim and Aziz. I’m deeply impressed by the colours of the mountains. Never seen such before. Almost hallucinating. (Copper-)green, deep purple, blue , red, yellow, you name it, it was there! Also the fascinating (Berber-) villages. The nice people. How Berbers get on with the small watersupplies, dividing and leading in such a way that all the valleys are green with crops and trees. Next to that we were very glad that Ahmed , Ibrahim and Aziz travelled with us. Very nice people. We enjoyed everything: the hiking, the views, the people, the food(!). and after having hiked for 4 days we stayed in the lovely Riad in Tigzah and we met Ahmed and his wife and his mother at home. And visited also Ibrahim at home. Super.

The Riad Kasbah Oliver was the perfect choice for our recent school trip to Morocco. I discovered it by searching for ‘responsible tourism’ on the web, and it lived up to all my expectations. Carolyn was wonderful in helping set up a programme of activities for one full week for 17 high school students. She had great suggestions and put together a fabulous programme which combined learning about local Berber village life (making bread, learning how to cook cous cous and tagine, drinking tea in local homes, enjoying a Berber music evening with instruments and dancing, visiting the local market), with wonderful and challenging walks (the students found the hike to Lake Tadma very demanding, but were extremely proud of their achievement), and visits to sites of interest nearby. The scenery is stunning, the terrace is a lovely place to relax or to star-gaze at night, but the best thing was the wonderful hospitality of Mohamed and Ahmed. Their commitment to helping the local people is very genuine and is helping to make a difference, and they were, at all times, helpful, open and dedicated to giving us the best possible experience. We loved being without internet for a week, and noticed how much more we talked to each other and observed what was around us. Altogether it was a very worthwhile and enjoyable experience, and we felt that we were privileged to get a taste of a ‘real’ Morocco that many tourists don’t see.
Thanks again for everything.

It was gorgeous to be in the Atlas Mountains and witness daily life in the area. Staying in Riad Kasbah Oliver gave us the opportunity to meet local residents and to understand the customs of the Berber people. It was amazing to see all the men going up a nearby hill to pray, marking the end of Ramadan. The food was real Moroccan home cooking and full board was available.
At times, the roads can be difficult, but if you take your time, it's fine. We hired an SUV. Public transport is available.
As we stayed in accommodation owned by a local person, we feel that this benefitted local people.
The holiday was very enjoyable and different. You very much felt that you were witnessing a way of life which was struggling to preserve itself. They need support from tourism to sustain their livelihoods but not to corrode tradition.
**** Some wonderful memories, I would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend

We had a great time! Such a particular atmosphere: a sort of human community where people help each other smiling. Everbody was very kind to us. Landscape was marvellous! Dinner was perfect. THANKYOU!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much! We had a great time. Such an easy transfer up there and well prepared after all the extra info you sent us before then. An amazing kasbah and an authentic experience in a beautiful valley up in the mountains. Although I have been quite a few times to Morocco I had never seen this sort of stunning scenery. It was such a chilled stay with nothing to think about, everything we needed and at the same time a real escape from our materialistic Western life. Kids (aged 3 & 5) found it wonderful too, made may friends in the village despite the language barrier and it will be a memory for life. We will be back!

We just arrived back on campus yesterday. Our trip was absolutely amazing and we are so unbelievably appreciative for everything you did to help make this experience happen. The kasbah was incredibly comfortable and accommodating to all of our needs and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Mohammad was so kind and helpful and always made sure we had everything we needed and were having a great time. All of our members were so happy with the stay and really connected with the villagers and the kasbah staff. I want to you to know how thankful I am for you and Mohamed, we could not have made this trip experience happen without the two of you. Thank you so much.
