Short section of Le Grande Traversée with qualified mountain guide who speaks English and French
Day 1 Pick up from Marrakech by 4 x 4. Travel to Ait Ali N'Itto. Homestay or family gite.
Day 2 Walk with a mule and your guide via Tassaout and Megdaz one of the oldest villages in High Atlas to Tagokht stay in family gite
Day 3 Walk to Lake Tamda. Camp overnight. (Option of bartering for a sheep or goat for Meshui)
Day 4 Walk to Tighza and stay in Riad Kasbah Oliver or Homestay
Day 5 Depart or spend the day exploring (enough different walks and treks locally to keep you occupied for at least a week)
Telouet Kasbah, Thursday Souk, Wednesday Animal, Lake Tamda, Kasbahs in Animeter (reportedly the most fortified Village in Morocco), salt mines, caves (Assaka), waterfalls.
Areas of interest for astrology and geology.
Help making a carpet in a local home. (See Project Page ) Learn to make tagine, couscous, harira or Moroccan bread.
Berber music evenings (when groups are staying). Opportunity to attend fetes for weddings and births (Something not usually available unless you are staying with a family) - subject to events happening during your visit).

Tipping is normal in Morocco. Please tip women at homestay families and the Kasbah (amount at your discretion)
