This is the original Kasbah building which since the earthquake has been left until the government okays repairs. A new larger kasbah with more guest rooms all with ensuite has been built in the middle of the village.

We encourage guests to get involved with project work and the village to help improve the lives and environment of the people.
EARTHQUAKE DAMAGE in TIGHZA :-
At 11:11pm on 8 September 2023 a 6.9 magnitude earthquake hit Morocco. The epicentre was in the High Atlas Mountains in an area not known for earthquakes.
Most villager left to stay with family elsewhere but have now returned to the village. The Government sanctioned 1 bedroomed houses to replace the original large family homes. Most are now complete. Homestays can still be arranged but please keep in mind that you will be sleeping in the main family salon rather than bedrooms.
